In loving memory

Hunsdeep “Huns” Singh Rangar was recognizable from afar for his infectious smile, unending wit and charming original humour. He touched an endless number of people and brought smiles to each one during his lifetime.

Huns was a son, husband, father, brother, public servant, entrepreneur and organizer of Ottawa’s annual South Asian Fest. He was 43 when he passed away on June 7, 2019.

Huns Club was set up in honour of Huns – an initiative of the Ontario South Asian Community Association (OSACA) to provide need-based financial support. This program is especially designed to help those affected by the coronavirus contagion and available to members of OSACA.

“Hunsdeep was the greatest champion that the South Asian community had in Ottawa.”

Carleton MP Pierre Poilievre

“I just remember the big beautiful smile he had - he had radiant, resplendent eyes that lit up. He also had a wonderful deportment and temperament. He was just a gentle and kind soul”
